Our Coaches & Medical Staff

Why is it so important to have qualified coaches? They can:

  • Evaluate your current fitness level and goals to make sure you are training at an appropriate level

  • Evaluate and suggest ways to improve your running form

  • Assist you if you need to adjust your training schedule, in the event of an injury or missed training due to travel or life in general

  • Motivate and challenge you to reach your goals in a smart, safe & effective manner

  • Our on-site medical staff can help indenfity and remedy injury before the derail your training.

  • Our medical team helps shape our educational content keeping you on track for your goals.

HANNAH MCCORKLE

Head Coach

 

Hannah's running career began as hurdler in high school. After setting school records on the track she moved on to distance running. Hannah is a Boston & New York Qualifier, winner of numerous Ultra Marathons and an all around force in the running community!

JEFF HENDERSON

 

Fleet Feet Owner 

Jeff is a USA Track & Field Certified Coach who has been a coach with MIT and Fleet Feet since 2008. He began his coaching career in 2001 as a cross country and track coach at Thomas Worthington High School. Jeff has a tremendous passion for helping Greater Columbus become a healthier, more active community. In addition to coaching and serving as race director for several events in Columbus, Jeff works with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources developing trails in Central Ohio. He and his wife Jacqueline live in Worthington with their daughter Harper and Hazel.

DR. DARRIN BRIGHT

Medical Director

 

Dr. Bright was a member of the original Marathoner In Training group that stared in 2001. He has been an MIT coach for the past eight years. Dr. Bright was ranked the number one physician in Central Ohio for Sports Medicine in the 10TV and the Columbus Dispatch's "Docs Rate The Docs" survey. In 2011 he was named one of Columbus Business First's "40 under 40". As such, he enjoys a national reputation for Sports Medicine focusing on runners. Darrin, his wife Gwen and their daughters Molly and Lexi live in New Albany.

SEAN HUFFMAN

Education Director and Operations Coordinator

Sean Huffman ATC, PT is the Director of Medical Resources for Fleet Feet+FrontRunner, and Marathoners in Training.  Since 2010, Sean has been a 9:00 minute coach with MIT and he founded Fit For Life Physical Therapy as the in-house physical therapy centers for Fleet Feet+FrontRunner.  With 30 years of experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, and physical therapy, Sean is dedicated to "moving people."

RYAN MORAN

Trail & Ultra Training

Ryan Moran has been reaping the benefits of running trail for more than a decade.  The trail running community in Central Ohio continues to expand, and he is so very proud to be a part of that growth.  TrailCrew gives Ryan the opportunity to give back to a sport that has given him so much - better health, clear perspective, life-long friendships, and near expert-level poison ivy knowledge.  TrailCrew is a unique blend of beginners, amateurs, and "front-of-the-pack" caliber athletes... all with similar objectives - train hard, laugh harder, run trail.  Let Ryan show you why trail running is so great!
