Newsletter Week 8
HEY MIT: The moment you've been waiting for has arrived!
Last week, we teased a special announcement, and today, we're thrilled to reveal it. Have you ever dreamed of running a world major marathon?
Thanks to our sponsorship with New Balance, we are excited to announce that we are giving away FIVE entries to the TCS New York City Marathon in our exclusive 'Change Your Life, One Mile At A Time' Essay Contest!
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join one of the most iconic races in the world. Read below for details on how to enter and make your marathon dreams come true!
In addition to this exciting news, we are gearing up for another build week with Walhalla 1200s at Grit Workout on Wednesday (followed by our first Ice Cream Social of the season!) and a 6 and 12 mile long run at Whetstone High School this Saturday. Remember to focus on keeping your easy miles easy as we increase our mileage volume, and start mixing in the Dynamic Warmup and Activation Drills featured in our new Fit For Life Article this week.
Don't miss our Train Your Brain article by our own Nita Sweeney on The Mental & Emotional Benefits of Training in a Group. It's a must-read for those who seek to understand why we do what we do at MIT, and how training with us benefits you mentally and emotionally!
Stay strong, stay motivated, and let's keep pushing towards our goals together. You have the strength and determination to achieve great things!
