Week 15: TAPER TIME & RUN COLUMBUS RUN
We hope everyone had a great swim-- I mean, RUN last weekend. 😂
👏 HALFS - YOUR TIME HAS COME! This Saturday will be your longest run yet, but don't worry. THE Run Columbus Run VIBES WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH! Remember to fuel, hydrate, test your gear and shoes at this week's run. This is the dress rehearsal for race day, so DIAL IT IN!
💡 In this week’s Fit for Life articles, we cover cadence, consistency, and picturing success—we cover running form and cadence and RACE DAY VISUALIZATION! Don't miss this one!
🏃♀️🏃♂️ RUN COLUMBUS RUN is coming up this Saturday, April 12th, at Crooked Can Brewing! This is our annual FREE community long run, and both groups will take on 12 miles together. It’s always a highlight of the season! MIT members must register—don’t wait! NEW: PLEASE REVIEW OUR PARKING UPDATES!
Stay focused, MIT, and don't let the taper crazies get to you. Stay the course and all will pay off when you toe the line on race day. 💪🏃♂️🔥
Happy Running, Walking, Moving & Shaking,
Coach Hannah

CADENCE & CONSISTENCY
Fit For Life Physical Therapy
This week let’s spend a few minutes learning about Cadence and Picturing Your Success.
Our first article will review Cadence (steps per minute) and describe why this matters, give you a recommended cadence range, and explain how to incorporate this into your program.
The second article is an excellent Train Your Brain note about Picturing Your Success by Dr Heather Bechtel. Dr Bechtel is an MIT participant, marathoner, pediatrician, and proud mom of 2.
Fit For Life Physical Therapy are proud to be the Official MIT and Fleet Feet Columbus Medicine Partners. We care for people of all activity levels — to help prevent, recover from, or rehabilitate athletic injuries.
